Yes. The evening German course is specifically designed for people who work, study, or have other commitments during the day. Classes begin at 7:15 p.m. and are held twice a week. This allows you to learn German on a regular basis without having to completely change your daily routine.

For levels A1 through B1, classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Levels B2 and C1 are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes are held from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

For levels A1, A2, and B1, each full level lasts 24 weeks and consists of 96 lessons. Levels B2 and C1 each last 32 weeks and consist of 128 lessons. If you would like to take only a sub-level, levels A1.1 through B1.2 each last 12 weeks, and levels B2.1 through C1.2 each last 16 weeks.

For many students, twice a week is a good schedule, especially if they work. They have regular exposure to the language and, at the same time, enough time between lessons to review vocabulary, grammar, and homework. Those who want to make faster progress can also choose an intensive evening course at ILS Basel , with four class days per week.

The lessons combine conversation, listening comprehension, and writing exercises. This allows you to not only learn German theoretically but also to apply it in situations relevant to everyday life. In addition, you will receive assignments and exercises for self-study.

Groups consist of a maximum of 8 people, and the course begins with a minimum of 3 participants. The limited group size provides more opportunities for active speaking and makes it easier to address individual questions directly during class.

Yes. You can join a class at any time if your current level of German matches that of the existing group. You’ll only pay for the lessons you actually book starting from the time you join.
