ILS - our eduqua-certified language school in the heart of Basel offers German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and other language courses in small groups of max. 8 people or in individual lessons with trial lessons for private individuals and companies. Our history began with our first location in the heart of Bern. Today we have three more locations in Basel, Zurich, Aarau and St. Gallen.
Specializing in teaching foreign languages to adults, we offer a variety of German courses, French courses, English courses, Italian courses, Spanish courses, Arabic courses, Turkish courses, Russian courses, Chinese courses, Japanese courses and many other languages. Take fide-test & Telc examinations with us and
Get your certificate so fast & easy.
- Check the exam dates and choose the date that suits you best.
- The number of places at the fide tests is limited. Please register early using the registration form or directly with us on site.
The results of the language test, the language passport and the certificate will be sent to the graduates by mail directly from the fide office after about 4 weeks.

The Intensive German Course also includes an excursion to the region - the aim is to make social contacts, speak German with each other and thus learn German while playing. Would you like to prove your German language skills with the recognized SDS certificate? At ILS-Basel , you ILS-Basel the opportunity to take this important exam. SDS certificates are recognized in Switzerland for naturalization, residence permits, and other administrative requirements, and provide you with official proof of your German language skills at levels A1 to B2. A English course in Basel we offer you in group courses from three to eight persons as well as in private lessons private lessons. In the English course we teach you basic knowledge about the country, people and culture as well as correct pronunciation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure and construction. Through grammar exercises, listening comprehension and reading comprehension exercises, as well as conversations and discussions, you will learn the language in no time.

ILS prepares you in a specific preparation course for the desired fide test in a specific preparatory course. Your own practice materials as well as fide mock exams serve as the basis for the preparation course.
Preparation courses for the fide test can also be taken as private courses at ILS. In the fide private course, you benefit in particular from the teaching time and decide alone which focal points are set in the course. You can choose between private lessons as an individual course or in a group of two or three that you form yourself.
Would you like to prove your Spanish language skills with an internationally recognized DELE certificate? At ILS-Basel , you ILS-Basel the opportunity to take DELE exams for all language levels—from A1 to C2—on a regular basis. DELE certificates (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera) are recognized worldwide by employers, immigration authorities, universities, and educational institutions, and thus represent a professionally sound proof of your language skills. In the course "SVEB Certificate Instructor Conducting Learning Events" you will acquire the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate teaching events with adults in your own specialist area. The course corresponds to "Module 1, SVEB Certificate Course Instructor".
You will learn didactic-methodical concepts of course planning and design, basics of learning psychology and adult-specific characteristics, communicative and social elements as well as organizational and goal-oriented procedures. The training and further development of one's own cognitive abilities, strategic approaches, social and methodological skills as well as one's own self-reflection are actively promoted during the course. This should result in professional action competencies with regard to respect and appreciation of participants, appropriate proximity-distance behavior, and flexibility in dealing with the unexpected.
